Do you accept dental insurance?
Yes! We are currently in-network with plans from following major dental insurances: Delta Dental (Premier), United Concordia, Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare.
If you don’t see your insurance listed above, that’s okay! We also participate with Zelis, which expands our in-network coverage to include plans with other insurances companies - including Anthem, Metlife, Humana, and many more. This allows us to see you as an in-network patient, even if we are not directly contracted with your insurance company. So if you don’t see your insurance listed above, just ask!
Please note - we do not accept Medicaid.

What if you're not in-network with my insurance?
If you have a dental insurance plan that offers out-of-network benefits, it means that you’re not restricted to seeing the specific list of providers who have contracted with your insurance company. Great! In practice, it means that you’ll be reimbursed by your insurance provider after paying us for any treatment or services rendered in our office. Please note that your insurance company’s UCR fees may be different from our fees, meaning that the amount of money that you receive as reimbursement from your insurance provider may be less than the fee that you pay on the day of service.
While we will always try to provide a good faith estimate for any out-of-pocket expenses that you may incur, ultimately it is your responsibility to understand how your insurance benefits work.

How does dental insurance work?
Oof, good question. Part of what makes dental insurance a confusing concept is that, under most circumstances, it doesn’t work in the same way that your healthcare plan or other forms of insurance do. For this reason, it may be better to think of it as a “dental benefit plan.”
Dental benefit plans (let’s call them “DBPs”) are designed to cover (aka “pay for”) some of the costs of dental treatment. Some DBPs may cover certain procedures in full, while others may only offer partial coverage. Some procedures may not be covered at all. It’s important to understand that your dental coverage is not based on what you need or what your dentist recommends, nor does the dentist determine what is or is not covered.
Ultimately it is your responsibility to understand what your DBP covers and what it doesn’t. A DBP can make it more affordable to get the dental care that you need, but your benefits should not be the only thing you consider when deciding on your treatment.

Do I need dental insurance to be a patient?
No! Regardless of whether or not you have insurance, we’re happy to see you!
-
Do you offer financial assistance?
We participate with CareCredit, which is a service that helps patients finance treatment that they couldn’t otherwise afford to pay for up front.
-
Do you see children?
We are happy to see children of all ages. However, we do not specialize in pediatric care. As such, there may be circumstances where we recommend that your child be seen by a provider who specializes in pediatric dentistry.
